Midnight

Midnight, medianoche, the first minute of a new day.  So many ways to describe the dark blue sky that appears black.  In many cultures, midnight symbolizes horror, death, mystery, etc.  There are poems written about the troubles and beauty of the thing that is midnight.  Midnight is time and nothing more.

I'm just kidding, I'm not going to get into that jazz, but I am talking about Midnight, just not the "normal one." ... Let me introduce Midnight.

Cross Country Runner

Well this is my first actual blog and I'm really excited to be writing this!  On the side of the page, one might notice that under avocations I put running.  Unless you didn't get clued in on that last sentence, this next blog post is going to be about the joys of running.

Traveling through the Blogs

As I was traveling through google looking for various blogs, I came across three that I liked in particular.  Though they do come from diverse regions of the blogging world, they have all piqued my interest.

1. Baking Bites:   http://bakingbites.com/

In case the name didn't inform you of what it is all about, this blog is a baking blog.   The blog is home to recipes, baking do's and don't's, tips, and all others that make a baking blog special.  Since I love to bake and am the dessert Frankenstein in my house, this blog is a little gift from the internet to me.  The design of this blog makes it very easy to search through and discover what you want to read about.  The name is creative, and the site is very colorful.

2. Fun Family Crafts: http://funfamilycrafts.com/

DIY-ing is one of my favorite things to do.  I think that making things for yourself considerably cheaper can be fun and adds a touch of uniqueness to everything you make.  This blog was full of crafty ideas; the blog's homepage was covered with fall crafts and Halloween crafts.  This made me particularly happy because with Halloween coming up, I'm getting excited about decorating.  Fun Family Crafts was easy to explore and navigate.  Also, it has good informative links to help make the crafts. To make it better, the name holds a small literary device that is music to the ears.

3. Teenage Girl's Survival Guide:  http://teenagesurvivalguide.com/

This is not just about beauty and style, this is an empowering blog that leaves you with actual knowledge of getting through teenage years.  While the site does take about fashion, it also talks about loving yourself, finding your own confidence, books, career/schooling tips, dealing with cliques and friendship 'bumps', and lot's of other things that go through a teenage girls life.  Not only are the words empowering and encouraging, the design of the site was well thought out.  Teenage Survival Guide was easy to explore and had lots of fun little designs and pictures.  The name is straight forward and does not leave you with the feeling of what on Earth is this blog about?

These blogs will inspire me to make the site easy to navigate, easy on the eyes, and easy to read.  The site won't be difficult, it'll be easy.  The blog won't talk about mindless things, but things that matter.  The blog will talk about things that matter to me.
