Movies=Happy

There's something pretty fantastical about watching real people pretend to be fake people.  One reason that makes movies so great is the actors and actresses.  And, of course, the plot.  Anyway, here are my top eight favorite movies.

8. Man on a Ledge

This is a fantastic movie because it involves quite a few attractive faces, action, and a tale of two brothers.  Here's a little IMDB description: As a police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop, the biggest diamond heist ever committed is in motion.

7. Yes Man

In a nutshell, a Debbie Downer (he's actually a guy) on life is told by his friend to go to a "Yes" Seminar.  He makes a 'covenant' there and he must say yes to everything.  Interesting things happen in this movie, and if you say no to this movie, you are a "NO MAN! NO MAN! NO MAN!"

6. The Proposal

This is a funny one! A boss who's visa's expired forces her young assistant to marry her so she can stay in the country.  On a weekend adventure to Alaska, a chick flick takes place.  This movie es muy bueno.

5. The Avengers

What happens when you put most (sorry Spidey) of Marvel superheroes together? You get a great movie!  Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye join in a
marvel-ous (ehhhh), action-packed movie and of course stop Loki from destroying, you guessed it, New York City.

4. What Happens in Vegas

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas....except for the couple who wins 3 million dollars.  When the two want a divorce, they fight over the money, and in a turn of events, must live together for a period of time as a couple.  It was a bad movie description, but seriously, watch it! This movie is hysterical!  I mean truly, it involves Cameron Diaz (one of my favorite actresses) and Ashton Kutcher...two very funny people. This is a must watch. :)

3. Source Code

A young soldier is on a mission! He awakens to find himself in another man's body and in the period of eight minutes, must find out who a Chicago train bomber is.  This movie is full of action and when I saw it with my sister, she described it as a movie that changes your life.  I agree.  It has kind of a philosophical back lash to it.  This is of high recommend.

2. Ferris Bueler's Day Off

You know a movie's going to be good if it's from the 80's.  I love old movies and this one is worth a watch.  Ferris, his best friend, and his girlfriend ditch school and have the time of their lives in Chicago. Oh yeah, Ferris, using his elaborate and somewhat childish methods, convinces his parent's he's sick in order for him to ditch.  This movie is the epitome of comedy!

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

This is a fantastic movie! I loved it and it's kind of a classic.  A blacksmith, Will Turner, teams up with a mind boggling, eccentric, and pretty darn smart pirate.  This pirate is "Captain" Jack Sparrow.  Together, they go to save Will's love, who was captured by Sparrow's old crew, who happen to be cursed, and undead.  It's really good! Plus, it has Johnny Depp, so it has to be good no matter what.  My favorite quote... "You best start believing in ghost stories, Miss Turner...you're in one!" Barbosa.
